Our lives are ordered by the Threefold Rule of prayerbook spirituality:

  • We gather weekly to celebrate Holy Communion.

  • We pray daily the services of Morning and Evening Prayer.

  • We fill our lives with devotional prayer and works of mercy.

Through our common practices of praying together and eating together, we encourage one another on the way of Jesus Christ.

We offer the Jackson area a radical, faithful alternative to the culture of consumption and distraction.

Our Patron

Stephen was a Jew, described as “full of faith and the Holy Spirit,” whom the Apostles ordained as a deacon to serve the poor (Acts 6:5). In addition to being one of the the Church’s first deacons, he was the Church’s first martyr. His miracles and his faithful teaching attracted opposition from powerful leaders in the synagogues, who accused him of blasphemy. Looking up to heaven, he saw Jesus Christ standing at the right hand of God, and proclaimed His triumph. A mob stoned Stephen to death outside Jerusalem.

Saint Stephen was the first Christian to follow the example of Jesus Christ to the end. He lived like Jesus, in service and the power of the Gospel, and he died like Jesus, praying to God for the forgiveness of his murderers. He is a witness to Christians in dark times that they are called to testify faithfully to their living Lord, to show patience in suffering and courage in adversity.
